Used as heat exchanger, showing detailed structures. These HE can be used for extreme media at high pressures and temperatures.

How it’s made

This part is made with a one axis machine. The details are designed into the tool and are copied into the workpiece by electrochemical machining.

Advantage of using ECM

By ECM a complex fine detailed structure as this heat exchanger could be machined with an one axis machine into a super alloy within 4-6 minutes. No heat effective zones are created and no tool wear as a result of the electrochemical machining process occurs.
