Application
The presented sheets are used as sheets in a Fuel Cell stack. These stacks are designed to have an uniform distribution of reactants to each cell. Different designs can be manufactured to create enlarged reaction surfaces.
How it’s made
By using ECM the part is machined in 2 steps from both sides.
Advantage of using ECM
ECM is an interesting technology to produce complex geometries on sheets or discs for Fuel Cells. It is an interesting technique to create surface enlargement to improve the Fuel Cell efficiency.
